Physics-1 Screen Shots

Below at left is an image of the Physics-1 screen with the free body diagram of a box sliding on an inclined plane with an initial up-plane velocity and friction included. At the right is the inclined plane with a rolling cylinder on it. Notice that the angle had to be reduced to prevent the cylinder from sliding.

Below at left is an image from the static equilibrium display representing a ladder leaning against a wall. With the weight of the ladder and its slope given, the display calculates the reaction and friction forces for equilibrium. At the right is an image from the simple harmonic oscillator display, depicting the potential, kinetic and total energy.

Below are two views of the same display, a pendulum swinging through a large angle. At Left is the graph of angular position, velocity and acceleration vs. time. At the right is a shot from the animation, showing the arc of the pendulum.
