The last new view is the Basin of Attraction view. This view appears similar to the Phase Space Projection view but has some differences. So far we have dealt with systems which have only one attractor inhabiting its phase space. It turns out that this is not always the case. When multiple attractors are present we may be interested in which attractor goes with which initial conditions. The set of all initial conditions leading to a particular attractor is called its basin of attraction. We use the Basin of Attraction view to test which attractor captures the orbit for a given starting point. The mouse button in this view not only marks a point in the drawing area but also sets the initial conditions to that point. Then Action starts plotting the orbit. Eventually the orbit will settle on an attractor so we will know that it is the attractor for the marked point.
